Synopsis:

Kimura is a mixed martial arts drama that touches upon the themes of struggle, love, forgiveness and redemption. Originally titled “The Last Smile”, it´s the story of Armando, a Panamanian mixed martial arts fighter competing within the underground circuit of Panama. This life puts him at odds with his brother Alejandro, who dissaproves of this way of life, specially since Armando is joined by Andres, the youngest of the brothers. Regardless of Alejandro’s views, the duo was a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, the temptations of this life lead Armando and Andres to make some bad choices, resulting in the death of Andres. Ashamed of his actions, Armando leaves everything behind, including his girlfriend Diana and Alejandro.

Roaming the continent, Armando returns a new man after some years, hoping to redeem his actions. But life has changed in his absence. Diana is bankrupted, her father’s bar (and the only thing left from him) is about to be taken by Manfredo, a dangerous underground business man for whom Alejandro now works as his prize fighter. Now is up to Armando to take matters into his own hands, even if it means returning to the life he left behind…and facing his brother Alejandro in the Kimura mixed martial arts tournament.
